The knee-jerk reaction to anarchy is the assertion that "without Order there would be Chaos." Well, Yes. In a strictly technical and semantic sense that is absolutely true. But the Lie is the idea that controlling people is somehow tantamount to Order. When in reality it's sowing the seeds of chaos. Why? Because Humans don't like being controlled. They rebel against the thing trying to control them, and thus two polar opposites dedicated to obliterating each other are created; producing chaos in the process.
It's significant to point out my definition of a "Human" is an animal who possesses Consciousness. Now this is in contrast to a person who wishes to control and be controlled. I believe these people are not "Human;” they are domesticated primates. Domesticated primates do not possess Consciousness, they merely possess Language. Because, you can teach a parrot to say things and a monkey to use tools but that does not make them human.
The reason a HU-MAN resents being controlled is because Consciousness is a self-referencing perceptive state, and so all attempts of petty ego conformity at the hands of domesticated primates is patently repulsive for a human. Furthermore, it is my belief that our Consciousness is the only valid form of authority because Consciousness provides us the only valid form of Morality.
Morality is a set of ideas of how to be good people. So when you realize it is good for you to be treated good by others... that's when you also realize other people would want you to treat them good. And that's why the only relevant idea for being a good person is, "Doing to others as you would have them do to you." This is the essence of Empathy.
Morality is ultimately the product of Consciousness because Empathy is a product of Consciousness; You Think — Therefore You Are — Therefore you can think about OTHER people. So when you realize it is good for you to be treated good by others and vice versa... that's when Morality is ultimately the product of Consciousness.
In the anarchic "superman" state of the fuuuuuuture the only law will be Moral Consciousness expressed as the Golden Rule. The opposing forces to Moral Consciousness are moral authority & immoral consciousness. Moral authority represents domesticated primates attempting to control all behavior based relative conceits. The logical conclusion to moral authority is an all-powerful corporate / religious state that places no value in 'the individual' resulting in no personal freedom, technology will be the catalyst. Immoral consciousness represents the self-referencing perceptive state of Consciousness but disregards empathy as a 'weakness.' The logical conclusion to immoral consciousness is just... unpleasant.
> The knee-jerk reaction to anarchy is "who's going to take out the garbage?"
I think it was Oscar Wilde who said slavery is an absolute necessity in any society - but human slavery is immoral. He then said something to the effect of; "let the machines do the shit work; we'll get their pay!" Seriously, it's just a matter of time before everything becomes automated. At such a point of technological sophistication - it is my belief we'll either slide into fascism or anarchy. And here's why - in an automated society all forms of employment will become obsolete, and if no one is earning any money - then the whole damn thing collapses.
Only with the intervention of an all-powerful corporate / religious state could society continue to exist. However, the machines won’t be able to produce art & entertainment. And so, in my opinion, our only hope of salvation is for the world to truly become a stage in which we are all its players. Life-actors creating life-scripts from the process of following your highest light (Consciousness.) With no need of a lobotomized labor force, and conversely, a real need for independent and creative people / producers of art & entertainment in order to support the economy – the educational system will be revamped based on interpretations of Consciousness & morality; eventually creating the first viable world-spanning anarchy.
It'll take about 200 years.

Why do bad things happen to good people?
Why do bad things happen to good people?
•OR•
Did God create evil?
•OR•
Did God create evil?
Do you know what a koan is? A koan is a question with no logical answer because the question itself is flawed; what is the sound of one hand clapping? Did God create evil?
First off, distinctions need to be made between: Morality, Good, Bad & Evil. Good and bad things are the result of impersonal forces, like nature or coincidences; your house being burned down because of a lightning strike is bad. There was no intention to cause you grief - but it happened. Shit happens. However, your house being burned down because of an arsonist is evil. The issue is one of intention. The same is true with Morality and Good; finding money on the street is good, a friend helping you financially in a time of need is morality. There is also a distinction between direct & indirect morality & evil. A CEO laying off 10,000 people in order to give himself a bigger bonus is indirect evil. Likewise, the president signing universal healthcare into law is indirect morality.
Morality and Evil are the result of the Conscious decision to act with, or without empathy. Morality and Evil are the sole products of HUMANITY.
Now I understand the classic dilemma with an omnipotent God 'allowing' bad things to happen. But nature functions as a gestalt of various self-automated programs, so the lightning bolt or tsunami that destroyed your house may of God in the sense that "God is everything," but God didn't intentionally destroy your house. Ok, so why does God "allow" bad things to happen? Because these are the lessons of Life we have to learn from in order to become more vital people. If there was no conflict, there would be no resolution therefore there would be no growth as an individual or as a species. Can a good person stay a good person after a bad or evil thing has happened to them? The goal of humanity is not to become mindless drones on heaven or earth, the goal to reach a level of Consciousness on par with God itself and to actually become co-architects of a new form of Existence / Consciousness.
So the final question is; can an omnipotent God also be benevolent? Since God is ultimately responsible for all things directly or indirectly it must mean God transcends all these human conceits and concepts of Good and Bad, so in a purely semantic sense; no... I mean yes... I mean... you figure it out.
Clearly there are vast grey-areas, and distinctions are hard to make. Like, is Windows Vista bad or evil? Discuss.
